Ingredients

1 can chicken (about 12.5 oz), thoroughly drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 large egg

1 tbsp ranch seasoning

Optional Dipping Sauces

Keto ranch dressing

Sugar-free ketchup

Buffalo sauce

Garlic aioli

Instructions

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Open the canned chicken and drain it thoroughly.

Using paper towels or a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out as much moisture as possible. This step is extremely important because removing excess moisture helps create crispy chicken fries instead of soft or soggy ones.

Transfer the drained chicken into a large mixing bowl. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, egg, and ranch seasoning. Mix everything together until fully combined and the mixture holds together easily.

Using your hands or a spoon, shape the mixture into fry-sized strips and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Try to keep the fries similar in size so they cook evenly.

Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the chicken fries become golden brown and crispy around the edges. For even crispier texture, carefully flip the fries halfway through baking.

Once fully cooked, remove from the oven and let them cool for 2–3 minutes. This helps the fries firm up and become crispier before serving.

Serve warm with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauces and enjoy.

                  Notes

                  Storage Instructions

Store leftover chicken fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze the cooked fries in a single layer before transferring them to a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 2 months.
To reheat, use an air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes or bake in the oven at 375°F for 5–6 minutes until crispy again. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it can soften the fries.

                  Recipe Notes

Thoroughly draining chicken is the secret to crispy fries
Thin fries become crispier than thick fries
Freshly shredded cheese melts better than packaged cheese
Add cayenne pepper or jalapeños for spicy version
Parmesan cheese can be added for extra crispiness
